Your San Antonio Expert Residential & Commercial

Painting Contractor

GenTex Painting offers a complete selection of exterior painting services for San Antonio and surrounding areas. At your request, all surfaces are first washed using a pressure washer to remove dirt, mildew, and major paint chipping. All surfaces are then properly prepared before the finish coats are applied. In addition, our team is skilled in keeping the job site clean and organized. You can be sure that the only thing you’re left with after your exterior painting project is done are your newly painted walls to enjoy.

The Exterior Preparation Process

At GenTex Painting, we follow a step-by-step process for every exterior project in order to ensure that surfaces are properly prepared before the start of any painting job as well as to protect any of your valuables and areas of your home that are not being painted.

The Exterior Painting Process:

It all starts with the surface preparation. If the surface is not properly prepared, it will have a direct effect on the longevity of the paint application. At GenTex Painting, we take great pride in ensuring that the exterior of your home is properly prepared before there is any application of products. Here is a breakdown of how your surface area will be prepared and how the paint will be applied to your exterior.

Thoroughly power wash entire exterior surface
Seal all cracks in exterior stucco and wood
Repair any damaged masonry areas (Retexturing chipped comers, etc.)
Thoroughly scrape loose and peeling paint from the exterior (Anything the power wash missed)
Cover all landscaping, bushes, windows and other non-painted areas
Prime any areas of bare wood
Spray the exterior house body (Usually stucco)
Brush and roll the home's trim (Facia boards, doors, door frames, etc.)
We will remove and replace any rotten wood

Our interior painting services include:

The Interior Preparation

At GenTex Painting, we follow a step-by-step process for every interior project in order to ensure that surfaces are properly prepared before the start of any painting job as well as to protect any of your valuables and areas of your home that are not being painted.

1. Property Protection

The painting process begins before anything is applied to the walls. All of the heavy room furniture is moved to the center of the room and covered with plastic drapes. The flooring is covered with paint-proof drop cloths. Other valuables are covered or moved out of the way.

2. Preparation Work

Major cracks and holes in ceilings, walls, and trim are filled. If necessary, caulk is applied.

3. Painting

The ready-to-paint walls, ceilings, and trim are painted with high-quality paint to achieve an even paint finish.

4. Clean Up

Tool and equipment is removed. The floors and furniture are uncovered. Floors are swept and vacuumed. The furniture is placed back in its original position.

5. Inspection

Together with the homeowner, the finished job is inspected. You are invited to complete our feedback survey.
